Another week of FPL drama, and Gameweek 8 is fast approaching. Like many managers, I’ve been frustrated with Haaland’s recent blanks and Saka’s injury scare after his impressive haul. With only one free transfer, I’m torn between sticking with Luis Diaz or finally bringing in Mbeumo, especially with his penalty duties. As for captaincy, Haaland stays my pick due to Wolves’ shaky defense. Gameweek 3 saw a strong performance for my team however many managers are using their Wildcard for unlimited free transfers ahead of gameweek 4 and I’m tempted to do the saem. Haaland’s back-to-back hat-tricks have papered over some cracks in the team but patience over transfers may be the key long-term. Follow @FPLwithStu for updates
Gameweek 2 was eventful to say the least. I’m hoping the season carries on this way – early on there’s little to lose as teams get back into fitness and form and the jeopardy of relegation or title run-ins isn’t there yet. We’ve seen some pretty open football with lots of goals, ideal for FPL fun.
So far my team has fared on the average side, scoring decent points both weeks so far but definitely nothing special. FPL is a marathon not a sprint so we all need to keep calm despite the madness of the football.
I wish I had taken that advice last week instead of using a transfer on a useless change, but it’s so hard to resist tinkering.
