Gameweek 14 Team Reveal and Transfer Plans

The games are coming thick and fast and ahead of the Tuesday evening deadline for the mid-week fixtures here is my team reveal and transfer plans.

Gameweek 13 review

76 points (against an average of 60). A high scoring week and a decent return by my team.

A solid performance from my big hitters. Bringing Salah in and ditching Haaland in Wildcard in game week 12 has quickly paid off.

If you haven’t already, Haaland has got to go…even if the fixtures look alright for the next 3.

The points weren’t very spread out and a couple of mistakes from my Wildcard have come back to bite me. Namely, not including Saka and choosing Isak over Jackson. Konate’s injury also adds another headache.

Gameweek 14 team and transfers

I have rolled 3 transfers and have £1.2m in the bank. There’s a part of me thinking of rolling them 1 more week but I’m keen to get rid of Mbeumo, Isak and Konate.

My possible replacements are Gomez at £4.8m is a great bargain way into the league’s most solid defence not Konate is injured. This may be the only transfer I do given Konate is out for a long time.

Budget-wise I can’t get Jackson and Saka without taking Bruno Fernandes out. This would leave me stuck with Mbeumo or compromising on Jackson with a cheaper striker.

This would leave me team looking something like this:

The alternative, and my slight preference is to ditch Fernandes. My team would then look like this:

Bournemouth have good fixtures and are attacking so Evanilson could get some good returns but I feel Jackson is likely to outscore him over the next 4-5 game weeks.

Perhaps I’m being sentimental about Bruno – he’s finally started returning after I held him for so long at the start of the season when he wasn’t firing.

I can see Man United doing something at Arsenal but at the same time the Gunners are at home and in incredible form while United are trying to find their feet under a new manager and system. Because they are playing each other, Saka and Fernandes becomes such a direct comparison – it’ll all come down to that 1 game as to whether it is a good decision.

With Fernandes, given his great fitness record, I may find myself looking to bring him back in over the busy Christmas schedule simply because you know he’s going to play and be rotated so little.

If I go for option 2, I’ll still be looking to shift Mbeumo the next week (maybe to Mitoma or Semenyo) given his form and fixtures.

Conclusion

Let me know what you think – which option is best?
