Gameweek 16 Team Reveal and Transfer Plans

Another game week and another Salah haul. Plenty of positives and some frustrations too. Here’s my team reveal ahead of game week 15.

Gameweek 15 review

44 points (against an average of 50) is a disappointing return but I’m not too unhappy with my team.

The Merseyside derby getting postponed definitely threw me off, with 2 Liverpool players and non-playing Gabriel making up my bench telling you all you need to know about the impact.

Blanks all over the pitch with the exception of Mbeumo (who I was thinking of selling) and Palmer being the only bright lights. I won’t kick myself too hard for not captaining Palmer as Saka at Fulham wasn’t a bad fixture.

Gameweek 16 team and transfers

As it stands, I’ve got 2 free transfers and no spare cash in the bank.

Gabriel is the biggest problem – he didn’t play midweek which worries me that he’s now not going to make the weekend game.

I’m considering going for Gabriel to Timber (as I can’t afford Saliba) but if Gabriel makes it back, I know it’s a wasted transfer.

Given his returns last week, I’m now happier to hold Mbeumo for gameweeks 17 and 18 but there’s no getting away from his bad fixture run coming up, even if Brentford’s home for is so good.

Captaincy is on Salah but it’s a tough choice between my threemium midfield of Salah, Palmer and Saka. Any one could end up with the arm band. My view is Salah is the most consistent but Palmer would have rested midweek when the other 2 haven’t. Brentford are really poor away from home which makes it a great fixture for Chelsea. Saka at home to Everton is also a great fixture.

I’m leaning towards Palmer for the differential and his potential to haul is probably higher than the other 2.

Cunha has been poor but home to Ipswich is a good fixture so he’s sticking around. Generally it would be nice to see points spread more across the team this week!
